EXCLUSIVE: Former Arsenal And Spurs Star William Gallas Delivers Verdict On Which Club Eberechi Eze Should Join

“If you’re Eze, you don’t want to go from Crystal Palace, where you were the main guy, to move to one of the biggest clubs if you’re not going to play much. You don’t want to join a club and become frustrated with your minutes.”

“Eze will try to find the best solution for himself. Even if Spurs won the Europa League last year, you probably have more chances to win things at Arsenal over the next few years.”

“Arsenal got close to winning the Champions League last year, but then they came up against Paris Saint-Germain and made a mistake – they didn’t take their chances and were punished. So it really depends on how he sees his career. Does he want to play every week or does he want to get his hands on more trophies?”

Tottenham look poised to sign Eze

At the moment, it doesn’t appear as if the Gunners will be competing with their rivals for the 27-year-old’s services. Spurs are said to be locked in talks with Palace over signing the player.

Thomas Frank’s side are hoping to buy Eze for an initial £55m plus add-ons ahead of the transfer deadline on September 1st.

Trossard’s new deal suggests Arsenal won’t recruit another forward

Some surprising news emerged on Tuesday that Leandro Trossard is set to be given a pay rise. There was an expectation that the Belgian international would leave the Emirates this summer.

His departure would have opened the door for a player like Eze to come in and take his place, but this development indicates that Trossard is not going anywhere.

Funds would now have to be raised by selling other players, including Reiss Nelson, Fabio Vieira, Karl Hein, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Oleksandr Zinchenko and even Jakub Kiwior.
