Player ‘determined to leave Arsenal’ – Being dropped against Manchester United a sign of status

According to a claim in the Portuguese media FC Porto are monitoring the situation with Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior.

The Poland international has fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates and is reportedly look to leave.

[O Jogo](https://www.ojogo.pt/1011082451/jakub-kiwior-arsenal-e-fc-porto-as-cartas-de-um-jogo-dificil/) today report on Porto’s interest in the Arsenal player with reports he’s become disillusioned after being left out of the match day squad for last weekend’s clash with Manchester United.

With William Saliba and Gabriel being the first-choice central defence pairing it seems Kiwior will struggle to get games this season. On Sunday Riccardo Calafiori was Mikel Arteta’s preferred choice at left back, with summer signing Cristhian Mosquera making the bench.

Subsequently Kiwior is ‘determined to leave Arsenal’, according to the Portuguese newspaper and Porto could look to give him an escape route.

However, the Premier League side’s €30m asking price is proving to be an issue and it’s unlikely they are prepared to meet the 25-year-old’s valuation.

Kiwior made 31 appearances in all competitions last season and is contracted to the Gunners until June 2028.
