Manchester City will hope to build on their strong start to the season when they face Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
The Citizens cruised to a 4-0 win against Wolves on the opening weekend, with Erling Haaland netting a brace and new signing Tijjani Reijnders impressing on his Premier League debut.
Rayan Cherki also scored on his first appearance in the competition, while Rayan Ait-Nouri and James Trafford also made their league debuts for City.
This summer has been a busy one at The Etihad with plenty of new arrivals, but it now appears that one member of Pep Guardiola’s squad could soon be on his way out of Manchester.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Turkish side Galatasaray are hoping to tie up a deal for City defender Manuel Akanji.

The Swiss defender was an unused substitute at Molineux on Saturday, and Romano claims that the Citizens could allow him to leave with Guardiola keen to reduce the size of his squad.
Akanji, 30, joined City from German side Borussia Dortmund in 2022 and has since made more than 130 appearances for the Manchester giants across all competitions.
During his time in England, the Switzerland international has lifted no fewer than seven trophies, including two Premier League titles and the Champions League.
Romano suggests that the Turkish champions are in discussions with both Man City and Akanji himself, with a view to agreeing a deal for the versatile defender, who is capable of playing at centre-back or at left-back.
Akanji’s current contract with Manchester City is set to run until the end of the 2026/27 season, but it appears that he could be on his way out of the club this summer with Galatasaray said to be pushing for a deal.
