Crystal Palace have £32m decision to make which could impact Everton's transfer business -…

Everton are still active in the summer transfer market and David Moyes is hoping to get a late influx of arrivals.

Moyes has admitted it’s been a tough window, with many of Everton’s top targets turning them down for clubs in Europe.

Although, there have been two statement additions this month in the shape of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Jack Grealish.

But the 1-0 defeat against Leeds United was a stark reminder that attacking reinforcements are needed and quickly.

With that said, Crystal Palace could actually have a big say on the Toffees’ transfer business. Here’s why.

Why Crystal Palace could have big say on Everton’s transfer business

Everton are still actively exploring a deal to sign Tyler Dibling from Southampton, with the two clubs believed to be negotiating a fee.

Dibling has asked to join Everton, and it seems the Saints are willing to let him go for the right fee, however, Crystal Palace could scupper that.

They currently have a £32m decision to make; do they close a deal to sign Bilal El Khannouss or rival Everton for the signature of Dibling?

That’s what Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett is reporting, as Palace are weighing up whether to ditch the El Khannouss transfer for Moyes’ number one target.

Palace boast European football and the draw of living in the capital may turn Dibling’s head.

Dorsett issues Everton update

Dorsett has given an Everton update to Sky Sports News on the current situation with Dibling and two other alternative targets.

“But progress (with El Khannouss) has been temporarily halted while the Palace bosses consider their options.

“The South London club have had a long-term interest in Dibling. They made an offer for him in January.

“He would be a much more expensive option, however, considering Southampton have a £45m+ valuation.

“Everton have so far not been willing to meet that after seeing three separate bids rejected earlier in the window.

“But Dibling remains one of three forward options Everton are looking at with two weeks left including Malick Fofana and Leicester’s Abdul Fatawu.”

The Toffees were also put off by Fatawu’s price tag, so that one looks like it could be off the table.
