Havertz, who earns £250,000-a-week at the Emirates Stadium, was Arsenal's main man in attack last season, but he's since been joined by Viktor Gyokeres as another option for the centre-forward position. As a result, Havertz was on the bench against Manchester United at the weekend, with Gyokeres leading the line for the Gunners.
The north London club invested significantly in bringing Gyokeres to the club this summer, so Havertz was always likely going to have to get used to playing a squad role for Arsenal during the 2025/2026 campaign. Mikel Arteta needed a bigger squad to compete on all fronts, but he's now been dealt a big injury blow.
