While many believe that Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback ever, Washington Commanders star Von Miller thinks otherwise.

Brady is widely considered the most accomplished quarterback in NFL history with seven Super Bowl titles and five Super Bowl MVPs during his playing career.

However, speaking on the Glory Daze podcast, Miller said that while he respects Brady's resume, Peyton Manning is his personal pick for the greatest of all time.

'Obviously, there's gonna be a debate between Peyton Manning and Tom Brady, who was the best,' Miller said.

'For me, it'll always be Peyton Manning. He changed the quarterback position (in terms of) changing the play.

'He wasn't scrambling or doing none of that stuff. He did it all with his arm. And it was beautiful, man.'

However, Commanders star Von Miller has given his reasons as to why Manning is better

Manning's career includes five NFL MVP awards - the most in league history - and two Super Bowl wins, one each with the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos.

His 5,477 passing yards and 55 touchdowns in the 2013 season remain single-season records.

Brady held an 11–6 edge over Manning in head-to-head matchups, though Manning won three of their five postseason meetings.

Brady also became the second quarterback, after Manning, to win Super Bowls with two different franchises.

Miller, who played alongside Manning during Denver's Super Bowl 50 win, said it was Manning's command of the game and precision passing that set him apart.

Now entering his 14th NFL season, Miller is one of the most accomplished defensive players of his generation.

He's an eight-time Pro Bowler, a former Defensive Rookie of the Year, and ranks among the league's all-time leaders in career sacks.

After stints with the Broncos, Rams and Bills, Miller signed with Washington in 2025.
