Leeds United are off to a fantastic start on their return to the Premier League. They beat Everton 1-0 in front of a huge crowd at Elland Road.
The fans really took Daniel Farke’s words to heart – making the atmosphere as loud as possible. Leeds’ win on Monday night was the first time in 17 years that the Championship title holders won their opening game in the top flight.

Many expected Leeds to struggle in the game against Everton, but the Whites had David Moyes’ side on the backfoot for most of the 90 minutes. The finishing from the home side was the only thing preventing Leeds from winning with a larger scoreline. It took a late penalty from Lukas Nmecha to seal all three points at Elland Road.
Daniel Farke’s side are away to Arsenal next on Saturday.

Daniel Farke’s side on the other hand, do not look like they will have any injury worries ahead of Saturday. Ethan Ampadu is the only concern after he picked up a knock in the second half against Everton. But after the game, Daniel Farke revealed that it looked like a minor injury:
“[He’s] alright. We’ll have to assess him, right now it is a big bruise. It’s not ideal, we hope it’s not a big injury. Hopefully it’s not a big injury.”
Ampadu will be assessed before this weekend. Outside the midfielder, almost everyone in the Leeds squad is active ahead of this weekend’s game. Dominic Calvert-Lewin is expected to be ready after missing the game against his former club due to match fitness.
