Leeds United did a phenomenal job at the start of the transfer window. The club quickly wrapped up a succession of deals in time for most of them to make it to the training camp in Germany.
But since then, the club have failed to recover from the Igor Paixao transfer. It was a huge deal, and how Leeds missed out was a fault of their own. Since then, the club have tried to find alternatives and other targets. The only player the club have signed since then is Dominic Calvert-Lewin on a free transfer.

The Leicester City star’s release clause expired this past Friday, so the Foxes have the final say on any potential transfer fee.
Sacha Tavolieri reported that a decision could be made soon as early as Wednesday. Crystal Palace seem to be leading the race, with the Eagles pushing for the deal since this weekend. Spurs have reached an agreement to sign Palace star Eberechi Eze, and the Eagles have lined up El Khannouss as a replacement.
Crystal Palace reach agreement for Leeds United target
It has now been confirmed by Ben Jacobs that Crystal Palace have reached an agreement with Leicester City over Bilal El Khannouss. The fee is said to be around £30million, with the player keen on a move to the London club.

At this point, Palace are the only team in this transfer race, which ultimately rules out Leeds chances of any transfer.
Leeds miss out on huge transfer
It is very disappointing that the Whites have missed out on another transfer. This deal will frustrate the fans, especially after Leeds were one of the first clubs to hold talks with Leicester over a deal.
The club even contacted the player’s representatives. Leeds failed to make any official proposal, and now Crystal Palace have swooped in and about to seal the deal. The Whites have obviously not learned from their mistakes earlier in the transfer window.
