Leeds United began their Premier League season with an encouraging 1-0 win over Everton at Elland Road on Monday evening.
With Daniel Farke’s side travelling to Arsenal next, that result could become even more important as the campaign progresses.
Anton Stach showed his worth in his Leeds debut and could prove to be a pivotal signing for the Yorkshire club.
Attention will soon turn to Sheffield Wednesday in the Carabao Cup, but the Whites could play in front of a significantly reduced crowd at Hillsborough.

Sheffield Wednesday fans to boycott Leeds United clash
Leeds and Sunderland broke records in the Premier League after their respective victories over Everton and West Ham.
MORE LEEDS STORIES
It was the first time in Premier League history that two of the promoted clubs have won their opening fixture while keeping a clean sheet.
Indeed, the Whites performed far better than their opponents, and there is a genuine belief that they can stay up this season, bucking the recent trends.
After Leeds face the Gunners, they will play Sheffield Wednesday in the second round of the Carabao Cup, a huge Yorkshire derby.

Leeds’ upcoming fixtures
However, the stadium could look empty as the Sheffield Wednesday Supporters’ Trust has urged fellow fans not to purchase tickets as of 15 August.
This is in line with the protests against the ongoing ownership issues the South Yorkshire club are enduring with Dejphon Chansiri.
Rather than buying tickets for the cup clash, the Trust has encouraged supporters to donate the money to charity instead.
“Our reasoning is clear; every ticket sold puts further money into the hands of an owner who has shown nothing but contempt for the fanbase and disregard for the long-term future of our club,” a statement read on 20 August.

Leeds supporters would relish a Carabao Cup run amid Premier League progress
A run to the latter stages of a domestic cup is something that the Elland Road faithful would surely relish.
It has been almost 30 years since the Whites reached a cup final, when they were defeated 3-0 by Aston Villa in what was called the Coca-Cola Cup.
Of course, Farke’s focus will be on the Premier League, and he will surely rotate against the Owls.
However, the German now has a squad of increased quality, and a weaker Leeds side should still outgun Wednesday.
Given the mess at Hillsborough, the Peacocks will be expected to make progress in the Carabao Cup.
