Despite a long career across multiple teams, he has never won an NBA championship—but according to him, that was never his ultimate goal.
Gordon revealed that his biggest dream has always been to compete in the Olympic Games and win a gold medal. Last year, he thought he was on track to achieve that dream with the Bahamas.
"I would’ve loved to take the Bahamas to the Olympics. I would’ve loved that," Gordon said on Basquet Plus. "Of course, the dream was always to win a gold medal in the Olympics."

The next Olympics will take place in Los Angeles in 2028. Gordon admitted it will be difficult for the Bahamas to qualify, and with him turning 39 that summer, his own participation is unlikely.
"It’s going to be hard, because that’s in 2028, and as I get older it’s going to be tough," Gordon said.
Still, Gordon stressed that representing the Bahamas on the Olympic stage would be the pinnacle of his career.
The Bahamas came close to qualifying last year, losing 78–86 to Spain in the final of the Olympic qualifying tournament.
Gordon was one of the team’s leaders, averaging 14 points, 3.3 assists, and 2.5 rebounds during the competition.
The 36-year-old veteran guard also remains a steady contributor in the NBA. Last season with the Philadelphia 76ers, he averaged 6.8 points and 1.7 rebounds per game.
