Following a remarkable rookie season that culminated in 112 receptions, 1,194 yards, and five touchdowns, Raiders tight end Brock Bowers is poised for an increased role in 2025 under the guidance of Pete Carroll and veteran quarterback Geno Smith. Analysts project that Las Vegas’s pass-centric offensive strategy will not only solidify Bowers’s position as fantasy football’s top tight end but also enable him to contend for Travis Kelce’s single-season tight end receiving yardage record.

NFL Rookie Could Be as Good as Brock Bowers, Insider Predicts

An ESPN insider has likened Indianapolis Colts rookie tight end Tyler Warren to Las Vegas Raiders star tight end Brock Bowers, suggesting Warren could mirror Bowers’s record-breaking debut.

In a recent analysis of 2025 training camps,ESPN insider Ben Solak highlighted how Bowers led his team in targets as a rookie, establishing franchise records with 112 receptions and 1,194 receiving yards. Solak asserted that the Colts’ front office observes parallels in Warren’s capacity to convert quick touches into substantial gains, envisioning a similarly dynamic offensive asset for Indianapolis.

Solak also highlighted Warren’s ability to encompass reliable hands, his route-running precision, and his great instincts for yards after catch, all look strikingly similar to Bowers in his rookie season.

He also noted that while Warren will be utilized as a blocker in short-yardage and pass-protection schemes, his role in third-down, red-zone, and two-minute situations could expand rapidly should he perform effectively early. This prediction reflects a conviction that Warren’s mere presence introduces new strategic possibilities into the Colts’ playbook.

Although it’s still August and no regular-season games have been played, Warren’s early preseason performance earned praise, with CBS Sports awarding him a B+ for his mix of speed and physicality. If he maintains that level of play, the Colts may well have found their own version of a rookie Brock Bowers.
