On Wednesday, Raheem Morris updated the Atlanta media on a number of the Falcons injuries heading into the final game of the preseason.
KhaDarel Hodge, who missed practice yesterday, will be held out again today. Ray-Ray McCloud returns after dealing with a sickness, but most notably, Falcons rookie Jalon Walker will not play in the team’s preseason finale against the Cowboys as he nurses a groin injury.
#Falcons coach Raheem Morris said that KhaDarel Hodge (tightness) missed the last practice and likely will be held out today. Ray-Ray McCloud is over his sickness and is expected back. Jalon Walker will not play vs. the #Cowboys.

Walker has been dealing with muscle injuries since the beginning of training camp. A hamstring issue kept him sidelined leading up to Atlanta’s first preseason contest. However, he did play against the Lions before missing games against the Titans and Cowboys with a groin injury.
The Falcons hope to have Walker ready for their Week 1 matchup with the Tampa Bay Bucs, but it’s hard to imagine he will have a huge role after missing so much time to begin his professional career.
Additionally, Raheem Morris would not rule out Troy Andersen for Week 1, who has been on the PUP list since the start of training camp.
Morris said he won't rule LB Troy Andersen (knee) out for Week 1, but won't say he'll definitely be ready, either. #Falcons

Getting Andersen back would be a massive boost for the second level of the Falcons defense. But with him, it’s best to expect the worst when it comes to injuries. Andersen has been limited to just nine games over the last two seasons with various injuries. In his place, Divine Deablo, who signed with the Falcons this offseason, is expected to take over as the team’s starting linebacker next to Kaden Elliss.
