Crystal Palace player reaches agreement to leave – Eagles now new to agree terms

Vasco da Gama appear to have moved ahead in the chase for Crystal Palace’s Matheus França, with reports from Brazil claiming the club have reached an agreement with the player.

According to journalist Jorge Nicola, the 21-year-old has already given the green light to the Rio de Janeiro side. What remains is for Vasco da Gama to settle terms with Crystla Palace, with talks focused on securing a loan deal.

The story claims negotiations have accelerated in recent days, and there is confidence within the Vasco board that the Crystal Palace forward can soon be confirmed as a reinforcement.

França had also been on Cruzeiro’s radar, but the Belo Horizonte side were unable to make progress, leaving Vasco as the club closest to sealing the deal, as we previously highlighted.

A return to Brazil on loan is now seen as the best chance for him to regain rhythm and confidence, although whether he’ll then return to Europe is unclear.
