Insider Gives Grim Outlook For Russell Westbrook Ahead Of Season

Russell Westbrook last played for the Denver Nuggets, but no one is sure where he will suit up next.

He has been a free agent all summer, and there have been rumors about him moving to a number of teams, but nothing has progressed forward, and he remains on the market.

According to Sam Amico, per Fullcourtpass, it would not be surprising if Westbrook enters the new season unsigned.

What does that mean for the future of his iconic career?

During his single season with the Nuggets, Westbrook averaged 13.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 6.1 assists on 44.9 percent from the field.

He played in 75 games and started in 36 of them.

He looked like he was getting comfortable in Denver, and it appeared that the other stars on that team liked playing with him.

But when free agency rolled around, Westbrook was ready to try his luck and find another team, one that could offer him a heftier contract and give him more to do.

However, the offers didn’t come flooding in, and there have been a lot of questions about him.

The Sacramento Kings have been tied to him throughout the season, but no deal has developed.

Others thought that he might seek a new contract with the Nuggets.

Now it looks like he may remain completely unsigned when the new season kicks off.

That doesn’t mean he won’t find a team at some point, but NBA fans might not see much of Westbrook for the first time in years.

He has bounced around multiple teams throughout the last few seasons, and people have criticized his inability to stay still and stay consistent.

Is this all catching up with him and causing him problems finding a new home?
