Nottingham Forest have had one of the best transfer windows in the Premier League this summer.
Evangelos Marinakis has sanctioned a spending spree after Nottingham Forest were confirmed in the Europa League by CAS.
There has been an influx of big-money arrivals this month, with Douglas Luiz set to become Forest’s eighth new signing.

Forest now have lots of competition for places and look well-equipped to deal with the congested fixture list with European football on the horizon.
With that said, here’s how the second XI looks.

Nottingham Forest’s second XI after new signings
Competition for places is arguably the most effective way to improve players, and Nottingham Forest certainly have that this season.
If Chris Wood isn’t delivering, he knows he’s got Arnaud Kalimuendo, Igor Jesus and Taiwo Awoniyi breathing down his neck.
The same goes for the wingers, with Callum Hudson-Odoi under no illusion that he could lose his place to Omari Hutchinson if he doesn’t improve his numbers.
That will therefore increase the level and intensity of training, so Nuno’s squad is in really good shape at the moment.
MORE FOREST STORIES
Here’s how the current second XI looks, which includes Jose Angel Carmona, who is in advanced talks to join Forest.
Nottingham Forest have a genuine chance of European success this season
At the start of the summer, the narrative around Forest was that they would struggle in the Premier League this season as their squad was too small to compete in four competitions.
Well, Marinakis and his chiefs have certainly silenced those naysayers, and now even Gary Neville is tipping Forest to qualify for Europe again.
There are some big hitters in the Europa League, like Roma, Porto and Aston Villa, but Forest should genuinely fancy themselves.
The talent is there to go to the very latter stages and even win it, which would be transformative for the football club.
That’d automatically put them in the Champions League, so there is plenty to play for this year, and it should be a really exciting season for supporters.
