Jerry Jones, Dallas Cowboys owner, needs to make some crucial decisions about his linebacker, Micah Parsons, before the regular season kicks off next month. Parsons has been in deep negotiations with the Cowboys for the last few months after a possible contract extension. However, after negotiations stalled and the management refused to get back to his agent, David Mulugheta, Parsons officially put out a trade request to move away from the team.
Many fans and analysts who have been following the Parsons and Cowboys drama over the last few months have been calling out Jones for the way he handled the situation. Meanwhile, others like Troy Aikman know only too well that the Cowboys will falter in the 2025 NFL campaign without Parsons on their roster.

“His leverage is they can’t win without him. I do think the Cowboys are going to be better than what a lot of people project. I saw something where the pundits think that the over-under is 7.5 wins on the Cowboys. I think they’re going to be much better than that. But without Micah Parsons, I just don’t think they’re going to be able to slow anybody down.” Troy Aikman said as reported by Awful Announcing on X.

Jerry Jones definitely needs Micah Parsons on board if he wants his team to win the Super Bowl. However, he has not made any major moves toward Parsons in terms of a solid contract extension. Jones has also been pretty silent and has not responded to open criticisms of his behavior with Parsons.
Jerry Jones’ Daughter Speaks Negatively On Micah Parsons’ Possible Extension
Jerry Jones’ daughter, Charlotte Jones, also seems to echo his feelings on Micah Parsons. Charlotte Jones recently claimed that the negotiations between Micah Parsons and the Dallas Cowboys seem to have come to an end and that there is nothing positive on the horizon.
Micah Parsons is asking for a pretty juicy contract extension and the talented linebacker is definitely worthy of every penny and more. However, the Cowboys seem to think otherwise, with Jerry Jones not being ready to dole out a solid offer.

Simultaneously, those who know Jerry Jones’ flair for the dramatics are holding on to the hope that the Dallas Cowboys owner will soon give Parsons his much-deserveddeal. Jones has been known in the past to wait until the last moment to dole out contracts, with starting quarterback Dak Prescott also going through a similar ordeal.
