MOBILE, Ala. – The Panini Senior Bowl, formerly Reese's Senior Bowl, revealed on Wednesday morning its Top 300 players to watch heading into the 2026 edition of the annual collegiate all-star game, which included Texas Tech with six players recognized. The Top 300 is its first-ever such list, after identifying "the Best of the Best," according to the Senior Bowl scouting department, comprised entirely of former NFL scouts, who have been evaluating over 2,000 prospects from all levels of college football since last February.
The Red Raiders identified on Wednesday were quarterback Behren Morton, wide receivers Caleb Douglas and Reggie Virgil, defensive lineman Lee Hunter, and edge rushers David Bailey and Romello Height.
"We decided to trim our watch list from 850 to 300 to raise the bar and truly spotlight the top-tier talent across the country," says Senior Bowl Executive Director Drew Fabianich. "Our staff has been working rigorously to identify the top talent in this year's draft class, and the players on this list have stood out so far, but this is just the beginning. This season is the most valuable part of our process, and there is still plenty of football to be played. Our scouts will be on the road every week, tracking how these players perform and who continues to rise."
The move from an 850-player watch list to a Top 300 list highlights the 300 most promising prospects for this upcoming draft cycle. However, just because a player is listed on the Top 300 does not guarantee that individual an invitation, nor if a player is not currently on the list, does it mean he will not be evaluated with the same expertise and attention to detail as the players currently on the list. It is possible, and likely, that multiple players not on the Top 300 will earn an invitation to the Panini Senior Bowl depending on how well they perform during the 2025 season.
Texas Tech and Baylor shared the Big 12 lead with six players selected, respectively. Overall, the Red Raiders were one of 16 FBS programs that owned six selections or greater. LSU led the country with 14 players tabbed to the Top 300.
The 2026 Panini Senior Bowl will take place on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. CT at South Alabama's Hancock Whitney Stadium.
