Manchester City have a whole host of players who can be considered among some of the best in their respective positions across world football.

Erling Haaland is a name who certainly stands out as he is arguably the best striker in the world alongside other incredible goalscorers such as Harry Kane, Robert Lewandowski and Alexander Isak.

Rodri, who could extend his contract at Manchester City also has a case for being the standout midfielder in the world.

Martin Odegaard says Erling Haaland is Norway’s greatest sportsperson

However, out of every City player, Haaland perhaps has the strongest case for being the best player in his position across world football based on current form.

Martin Odegaard praised Haaland by naming him as “the best in the world” as well.

In an interview with Men In Blazers, Martin Odegaard was asked to name Norway’s greatest-ever sportsperson.

The Arsenal captain opted for Haaland over himself, Magnus Carlsen and Ada Hegerberg, saying: “I’m going to say Haaland at the moment now.”

With the pair playing for Norway’s national team for years, they seem to be pally with each other.

Odegaard and £51 million man, Haaland have played 37 games together.
