Man Utd starlet who trained under Amorim poised for loan move before deadline

According to Manchester WORLD, Manchester United plan to loan out highly-rated youngster Gabriele Biancheri before the transfer window closes.

The 18-year-old is attracting interest from League One and League Two clubs as he looks to secure regular senior football this season.

Biancheri joined United from Cardiff City in February 2023 and played a vital role in the Under-18 Premier League and Premier League Cup triumphs in the 2023/24 campaign, providing 17 goals in 27 games.

He featured for the U18s and U21s last term, registering 21 goals in 35 games and led the line for United U21s as they began their Premier League 2 campaign with a 1-0 win at Middlesbrough on Monday.

Canada and Wales are battling it out for his international services, which is another testament to his immense talent.

He has trained with the senior Wales squad under Craig Bellamy and was included in the Canadian team for the senior training camp in May.

Biancheri has trained with the United first-team under manager Ruben Amorim, but has yet to make the matchday squad and was excluded from the 32-man squad for the US Pre-season Tour.

Chido Obi and Ethan Williams appear to be rated higher than him. Obi has already played eight competitive matches for Amorim’s side, while Williams featured once in pre-season.

With the competition for places in the first team, United are ready to loan out the Wales-born striker for the rest of this campaign. The club believe his ‘development could be better served in an environment where he can expect to play regularly’.

Jenny Evans, United’s new head of loan and pathways, has already overseen the departure of 11 youngsters on loan. He is expected to ensure that Biancheri joins a club where he can get regular playing time.
