After years of playing for a team that couldn’t have postseason success, Jordan Clarkson is about to spend his first season with the New York Knicks.
He is excited to compete again and ready to make the city and its fanbase very proud.
In a new video shared on social media, Clarkson talked about what it means to be a member of the Knicks.
“I think being a Knick…You go out there…show love and really play for the city and embrace it, wear that on your skin when you’re out there on the floor, play with pride…I’m ready for it all,” Clarkson said, via New York Basketball on X.

Clarkson is just the latest in a long line of fierce players with something to prove who have been scooped up by the Knicks.
Like Mikal Bridges before him, he is ready to move on from the struggling team he was with.
He just spent six years with the Utah Jazz and was one of their most reliable members, earning Sixth Man of the Year and becoming a quiet and steady presence in the Western Conference.
Last season, he averaged 16.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.7 assists.
As strong as Clarkson has been, the Jazz have obviously struggled over the last few years, and his name has been in trade rumors for multiple seasons.
It has felt like he was ready for more and to play for a team that could actually make a splash.
He is now joining a Knicks team that could be on the verge of being the best in the East.
Because of multiple injuries and big changes, the conference feels wide open, and New York will work hard to carve a path to the Finals.
Clarkson is going to bring his years of experience and ball-handling skills to the team, giving them more options.
He was Sixth Man of the Year before, can he earn that title again with his new team?
He already sounds very proud to be in New York and wants to show what he can do.
Will the Knicks be happy with his output in 2025-26?
