It’s all part of the recent Turf Moor ‘transformation’ plans, that will see away fans now housed on the other side of the Cricket Field Stand – beginning with this weekend’s first home game of the season against Sunderland.
As a result, home supporters will no longer have access to Ormerod Yard, next to the cricket pitch. Only away fans will have access to this route.
Instead, Clarets fans housed in the North Stand will have to walk around Turf Moor and past the club shop and onto Harry Potts Way.
Those fans moved to the other side of the Cricket Field Stand, meanwhile, will also have to exit onto Harry Potts Way.
The new access routes are as follows:
Home supporters in the North Stand can no longer enter and exit the stadium via Ormerod Yard and will instead gain access and exit via the North East Car park, next to the Clarets Store
Home supporters in the Barnfield Stand will also not have access to Ormerod Yard, instead supporters will enter and exit onto Harry Potts Way
Away coaches will now park on Belvedere Road. All visiting supporters will enter and exit the stadium via Ormerod Yard. Only visiting supporters will use this access route
Belvedere Road will now follow the same road closure timings as Harry Potts Way on a matchday. Belvedere Road will close to vehicle movement two hours prior to kick-off and will reopen again when the majority of supporters have made their way from the stadium safely, approximately 40 minutes after the final whistle

The club say there will be signage and stewards on-site on Saturday to help with any queries.
The first phase of changes will be in place for this weekend’s first home game of the season against Sunderland, but further improvements – such as a new first-floor level in the Cricket Field Stand, with a balcony, upgraded toilets and refreshment kiosks – are scheduled to take place over the coming months.
The club said in a statement: “The developments aim to build stronger links between fans and players, ensuring that supporters visiting Turf Moor enjoy a memorable matchday experience.
“Further details about how supporters can get involved in the all-new team arrival will be announced later this week.
“The club wish to thank supporters for their patience as the ongoing stadium development work is taking place and look forward to welcoming fans to the first Premier League home game of the season on Saturday.”
