Manchester United are still yet to finalise an agreement to sell Alejandro Garnacho this summer.
Heading into the summer, Ruben Amorim named five outcasts who were left out of the pre-season tour and told to train away from Manchester United’s first team. Among them was Alejandro Garnacho.
Garnacho’s comments after the Europa League final spelled the end of his United career, and this summer has been spent trying to find a new home for the Carrington graduate.
Recently, Garnacho turned down Bayern Munich with his sole focus on a move to Chelsea.
Chelsea are in advanced talks for Garnacho, but both clubs are yet to agree on a final fee. With only 11 days of the window remaining, the clock is ticking.

Alejandro Garnacho ‘not scared’ to stay at Man United in 2025/26
It has been reported that United value Garnacho at £50m, but Chelsea have been reluctant to meet that asking price.
Clubs remain in talks over an agreement, but if a move does collapse, Garnacho has made it clear what he plans to do.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Garnacho is “not scared” to stay at United and remain out of Ruben Amorim’s squad in 2025/26.

“From what I’m hearing, either or he goes to Chelsea or he stays at United out of the squad…” Romano said.
“Garnacho is not scared about that.”
Considering a return under Amorim looks impossible, it seems Garnacho is willing to give up playing any minutes in 2025/26 if a Chelsea move isn’t completed.
Alejandro Garnacho is ruining his own career
Garnacho has been self-destructive with his actions this summer, dating back to his unnecessary comments after the Europa League final.
Amorim told Garnacho he “better pray” a club signs him this summer in a scathing statement to the young winger.
Amorim will be desperate to offload Garnacho following that incident, so his decision to stay put at Carrington in 2025/26 would be terrible news for the Portuguese head coach.
Given Garnacho’s attitude at United, perhaps it’s not so surprising that only a handful of clubs have registered interest in him this summer, and none are willing to meet the £50m asking price.

Garnacho has been left out of the Argentina squad, and it is hardly a surprise given he is ready to throw away a full season of football if the Chelsea move falls through.
At 21 years old, Garnacho should be hungry to play and fulfil his potential, but his tunnel vision this summer could be costly for his career.
