Ryan Taylor reports for the Mirror that Arsenal are still trying to find a solution for Oleksandr Zinchenko this summer.
Though the player was being monitored by Fenerbahce, Taylor reports that the Turkish club are now prioritising a loan deal for West Ham United’s Edson Alvarez instead.
Taylor adds that Real Betis are among the clubs to be offered the chance to sign Zinchenko in recent weeks, but there’s been little movement on a deal so far. The player’s wages reportedly remain an issue for his suitors.

Real Betis join a growing list of clubs Zinchenko has been linked with in recent weeks, with FC Porto, Fulham, and Fenerbahce also named in media reports.
In every case, conversations don’t seem to have progressed past the initial stages, for whatever reason.
Zinchenko played for Arsenal in pre-season, but he was subsequently left out of the matchday squad as the team took on Manchester United over the weekend.
The Gunners have a surplus of players at the moment, so somebody had to be excluded. But it’s certainly not a good sign for Zinchenko’s minutes at Arsenal in 2025/26.

Writing in his autobiography, Zinchenko recently admitted the 2024/25 season was the worst he’d experienced on a personal level. Though he was fit all season, he was rarely selected in the starting lineup unless Mikel Arteta needed to rotate.
On his future, the left-back said “let’s see what time will bring” adding “I still want to play football”. As it stands, the 28-year-old is no closer to a starting role anywhere.
