Now that we’re edging closer to transfer deadline day, rumours are likely to go one of two ways.
The first being that the rumour mill will go into overdrive as clubs scramble to sign players to improve their ranks, while the second is that things will go radio silent.
And, in Liverpool’s case, it seems the former of the two options is the way things are likely to be headed.
Here, Rousing the Kop delve into the biggest transfer stories to have emerged from Anfield on Wednesday, 20 August.

One of the main stories to have emerged from Liverpool this season is the future of Alexander Isak.
The Sweden international has been Liverpool’s number one target since the transfer window opened, and even though Hugo Ekitike has just been signed, the Reds are still vying for his transfer.
And, as per a report from BBC Sport, it seems like Liverpool would be willing to offer £120million to acquire his services.
BBC Sport journalist Sami Mokbel also outlines that one of the main reasons behind the Anfield outfit not putting another bid in yet is due to the fact that Newcastle would then need to sign two strikers rather than just the one.

Ibrahima Konate’s future has been under a magnifying glass for some time now.
The centre-back’s contract is set to expire at the end of the 2025-26 season, and, at the moment, it doesn’t feel likely that an agreement to extend his stay will be struck.
However, now that Real Madrid have decided against making any new additions this summer, this means that a potential move would have to wait until the end of the campaign.
This means that, while Real Madrid could still make a move at the end of the season, the Frenchman’s option to leave this summer has now slammed shut, which leaves Konate’s future in his own hands.
Lewis Koumas could end up leaving Liverpool permanently

Lewis Koumas may not be a name that some Liverpool fans remember.
The attacker spent the 2024-25 season on loan with Stoke City, and thanks to his performances, he seems to have earned some interest from a couple of Championship clubs.
That is, according to a report from the Liverpool ECHO, who outline that Koumas is of interest to both Wrexham and Birmingham.
Although their interest has been well documented this summer, the fact that the newly promoted sides both want to sign him permanently means that he could now be on his way out of Liverpool for good, rather than just on a temporary basis.
