France’s [Le10 Sport](https://le10sport.com/football/ligue1/om/om-excellente-idee-la-tres-belle-affaire-de-lete-annoncee-754792) reported on Tuesday that Kostas Tsimikas has been offered to Marseille regarding a transfer before the end of the window. [FootMercato](https://www.footmercato.net/a8009902881615381964-lom-veut-soffrir-kostas-tsimikas) now follow up on that and it would appear the French club have taken the bait for the Liverpool player.
Marseille have been in a huge crisis in recent days, largely of their own making. At the weekend they lost 1-0 to 10 man Rennes and after the match there was a dressing room altercation, which sounds like it turned into a fight, between Adrien Rabiot and Jonathan Rowe.
Rather than try to calm the situation, Marseille poured petrol on the flames, suspended both players and then put them on the market. That wasn’t a shock with Rowe, who was likely for sale anyway, but Rabiot has been seen as the leader at Marseille and their main hope to build around this season.
Fans are largely confused, and a rambling interview from sports director Mehdi Benatia on Wednesday was very odd indeed. So whilst Marseille may well want the Liverpool player, he could be thinking twice now.
Anyway, FootMercato want Kostas Tsimikas, but there’s not much more information provided.
