Julio Enciso’s transfer saga has gained yet another twist, with new European clubs now entering the race for the Brighton winger.
[According to Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola](https://portalgoleada.com.br/palmeiras-tem-5-concorrentes-disputa-enciso/), Strasbourg are the latest side to show interest, with French outlet L’Équipe also confirming their move. The Ligue 1 club, part of the same ownership group as Chelsea, now join Roma, Inter Milan, West Ham and Galatasaray as competitors for the Paraguayan’s signature.
West Ham is certainly an interesting link, with the Hammers credited with interest on multiple occasions.
Nicola stressed that this level of competition is exactly what makes Palmeiras’ chase so difficult. _“I’ve been telling you that the biggest difficulty right now is convincing Enciso to swap European football for Brazil, especially since there are offers from there and a new candidate has emerged,”_ he said on his YouTube channel.
Palmeiras have already sent a representative to England to meet with both Brighton and Enciso’s camp, but with five clubs from top European leagues circling, the battle for the 21-year-old looks increasingly complicated.
West Ham would be able to beat Palmeiras if it turns into a financial battle, and the extra interest can only be a good thing for Brighton.
