Club now prefer to sell NUFC striker target to Tottenham because of Thomas Frank

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Thomas Frank wants to reunite with Brentford forward Yoane Wissa if Richarlison is offered to Crystal Palace for Eberechi Eze, according to the Daily Mail.

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club are open to giving the Brazilian plus cash in exchange for the Eagles star, and they want Wissa in his place.

However, the Bees star has his heart set on joining Newcastle United and has been pushing for a move to the St James’ Park club for over three weeks.

Brentford are delaying the move because they want to sell the 28-year-old to Tottenham instead, given their relationship with Frank.

The Spurs boss brought Wissa to Brentford in 2021, but he is not keen on a reunion as he knows he can be the main man in attack at Newcastle.

They want attacking reinforcements after Alexander Isak made it clear that he wants to leave, and manager Eddie Howe wants the DRC Congo international.

The Magpies have offered an improved bid of £35 million plus £5m in add-ons some hours ago, but it has been knocked back as they want £60m.

Spurs need to free up a spot in their attack to accommodate him, which is why they are open to involving Richarlison in the Eze deal.

The 28-year-old has been named the Premier League Player of Matchweek One after his brace in the 3-0 victory over Burnley on Saturday.

It does not seem that is enough to convince the decision-makers at the North London club as they want Eze at all cost.
