Former Real Madrid player Luka Modric showed his affection for the club in a recent interview with DAZN, calling it his home.
Modric has joined Milan on a one-year deal and has already hit the ground running with a strong display over the weekend, performing well in the 2-0 win over Bari.
The Croatian, when talking about his time at Real Madrid, said: “Everything has a beginning and an end, mine has come. My journey at Real Madrid is over, but Real Madrid is my home, it will always be my home. Forever grateful.”
Modric was at Real Madrid for 13 years, and despite being 39 years old, he wants to keep playing at a high level because of how much he loves the sport.
“This is the reason why I am seeking new challenges, why I want to play at a high, competitive level: the love of the sport,” said Modric. “I still have passion and motivation for what I am doing.”
