The Portland Trail Blazers’ radio home will remain with iHeartMedia.
The sides announced Wednesday that they have agreed to a multi-year contract extension that will maintain their longstanding partnership, ensuring that Blazers games and other team-related programming will continue to air on Rip City Radio 620 AM in Portland.
“As we start an exciting new chapter, this extension strengthens our ability to connect with fans through additional in-season content and year-round programming, delivering the moments that make Rip City fandom so unique,” Kevin Kinghorn, the Blazers’ Chief Marketing Officer, said in a release.
Rip City Radio will continue to broadcast every Blazers game, with calls coming from play-by-play voice Travis Demers and analyst Michael Holton, who have worked together since Demers replaced Brian Wheeler in 2019. Rip City Radio also will provide pregame and postgame coverage, a weekly one-hour “Insider Report” program and a weekly one-hour recap show dubbed “The Blazers Wrap Up.”
Rip City Radio, which is owned by iHeartMedia Inc., is entering its 13th season as the Blazers’ flagship station. The Trail Blazers audio network includes more than a dozen stations in the Northwest, stretching from Brookings to Baker City to Tri-Cities, Washington.
The Blazers open the 2025-26 season on Oct. 22 against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
