The Browns defense line also has some depth that could interest other teams as the initial rosters are due in Tuesday afternoon. The New York Jets got ahead of other teams by making a deal with Cleveland for DT Jowon Briggs:
Briggs was a seventh-round pick of the Browns in 2024. He played in six games last season, accounting for 13 tackles, two quarterback hits, one tackle for loss and one fumble recovery. An undersized (6’1”) run-stuffing nose tackle, Briggs played two years at Virginia and three at Cincinnati before being drafted by Cleveland.
