Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has a decision to make on the left-hand side of attack when they travel across London to face West Ham United in the Premier League on Friday night.
Debutant Jamie Gittens was one of a number of poor performers in their opening-day 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace on Sunday, and he was hooked early in the second half, being replaced by Brazilian wonderkid Estevao.
It is unclear whether Maresca is prepared to start the 18-year-old in a big away league fixture under the lights, so soon into his Premier League career, but he certainly showed more of a threat on the left flank following his introduction.
Gittens was far from the only subpar performer though, as Joao Pedro was anonymous in attack, while Cole Palmer struggled to influence proceedings in the centre of the pitch.
Both are set to start again though, as Palmer is practically undroppable in this Chelsea team, following 15 Premier League goals last season, but the England international has not found the net in the division from open play since January.
Joao Pedro deserves another start after a strong showing in the knockout rounds of the Club World Cup, and West Ham are also his favourite career opponents, having scored six goals against them previously.
Nicolas Jackson is back from the suspension that carried over from last season, but he is set to take a place on the bench alongside fellow striker Liam Delap, as an exit from the club for the Senegalese international would not be a surprise.
Romeo Lavia is sidelined with another injury, but it is in defence where Chelsea are suffering most from various setbacks, compounded by Levi Colwill’s ACL tear that will see him miss most of the season.
Wesley Fofana is not yet fully fit, Jorrell Hato is still settling in at the club, while Benoit Badiashile and Tosin Adarabioyo both missed the Palace draw with injury, so young Josh Acheampong was drafted in to partner Trevoh Chalobah, and performed well, keeping a clean sheet.
Chelsea possible starting lineup:
Sanchez; James, Acheampong, Chalobah, Cucurella; Caicedo, Enzo; Neto, Palmer, Estevao; Joao Pedro
