The NBA playoffs can bring out an abundance of emotions, but sometimes it’s better to let things go.
Back in the first round of the playoffs, the Golden State Warriors beat the second-seeded Houston Rockets in seven games. With the two teams going to war in a physical battle, the Warriors’ postseason experience likely played a key role in the outcome.
Recently, Rockets big man Alperen Sengun complained about the Warriors’ physicality and claimed that they constantly complained to the officials. While Sengun might have been speaking his truth, Draymond Green was quick to respond.
Draymond Green has some words for Alperen Sengun
After Sengun’s interview, where he complained about Golden State in their first-round matchup, Green took to Threads to clap back at the All-Star. Along with a simple “Hold that L” in response to Sengun, Green took it a step further in a later response.
“That’s a tough thing to say after you lose… You have to win to [say] stuff like that,” Green posted.
Considering Green seems to make headlines almost weekly with his podcast, it’s no surprise that the former Defensive Player of the Year was ready to respond. After the Warriors’ run over the past decade, Green clearly isn’t interested in hearing anyone disrespect him or his team.
With Kevin Durant joining the Rockets this offseason, another layer has been added to this rivalry that has been reignited after Houston emerged from its rebuild. While there’s no guarantee the Rockets and Warriors will meet in the postseason again in 2026, every matchup next year should have some extra juice.
