The Washington Commanders’ practice facility in Ashburn, Virginia, has a new name: the BigBear.ai Performance Center.
The NFL team announced the naming rights deal with the company, which provides artificial intelligence solutions for national security initiatives, on Wednesday.
The site was previously known as Redskins Park and the OrthoVirginia Training Center. Through the deal with the Commanders, BigBear.ai will be featured on the team’s practice jerseys and throughout the suite level of Northwest Stadium.
“BigBear.ai is going on offense, and this partnership exemplifies our strategy,” BigBear.ai CEO Kevin McAleenan said in a statement. “Our partnership marks the first in a series of decisive moves we are taking to strengthen our position and unlock the next chapter of growth.”
The franchise will unveil new signage at the training facility later this season.
“We have been focused on building momentum across every facet of the organization,” Commanders President Mark Clouse said in a release. “Our partnership represents the next step in advancing performance, progress and meaningful engagement with our fans and community.”
