Tottenham Hotspur are ready to step up their pursuit of Brentford captain Nathan Collins as Thomas Frank eyes a reunion with the defender he knows so well. Sources close to the situation suggest Spurs will move quickly, with Liverpool and Manchester United also circling.
Nathan Collins is high on Thomas Frank’s wishlist
According to Caught Offside, Frank has already stamped his authority on Spurs’ recruitment plans this summer, and Collins represents the kind of leader he wants at the heart of his defence. The Republic of Ireland international is under contract at Brentford until 2029, which complicates negotiations, but Spurs believe they can tempt both the player and the Bees into a deal.
Having worked with Nathan Collins at Brentford, Frank sees him as the perfect fit for Tottenham’s evolving system. Strong in the air, comfortable in possession, and a natural organiser, Collins has the profile Spurs have lacked since Toby Alderweireld’s departure. Signed for just £23 million from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2023, Collins has proven to be a massive bargain.
Liverpool and Manchester United keen

A push for Collins would continue that trend. Spurs have already addressed key areas this summer, but Collins would be a statement addition.
