These new foods are on the menu at Chiefs games: Grilled Uncrustables, ranch bombs

The Touchdown Toast from last season’s playoff run won’t return to GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium concessions for 2025, but fans will have plenty of new options to try this season.

Representatives from food service partners Aramark and Levy Restaurants were on hand at the stadium Tuesday, Aug. 19, to unveil the latest foods fans can get their hands on. Aramark executive chef Erin Wishon said that she and the team have more items in the work that weren’t on display with shoutouts to players like Isiah Pacheco.

The Chiefs also unveiled a new sustainability initiative, inspired by another professional sports team in Kansas City. Here’s what’s coming to Arrowhead this season.

New foods at Arrowhead Stadium

Chiefs fans heading to home games this season can try new items like the Breakfast Burger, a sausage patty topped with a fried egg, bacon, spicy ketchup and shredded hash browns, and Jerk Chicken Tacos, topped with pineapple salsa, cilantro crema in a flour tortilla and served with sweet-fried plantains in a honey-lime glaze.

Wishon said she’s always trying to come up with new ways to mix fan-favorite items and make it so that they can be eaten at seats without causing a mess. Creativity is key, but since it’s also serving a Kansas City crowd, they’re infusing barbecue items where it makes sense. The BBQ Pit on a Stick — a sliced brisket skewer battered in cornbread topped with a barbecue sauce drizzle, cheesy corn and cole slaw — is a personal favorite of Wishon’s.

Planning for new items starts at the end of the season when her team compiles their notes based on what they’ve heard from fans and staff. They work as a team to figure out what they want to change. They also try to stay ahead on what’s trending, like introducing the Red & Gold Dirty Soda, their take on flavored sodas with added creams, syrups, and other mix-ins.

Sack Nation is also one of the stadium’s newest concessions concepts, named in honor of Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones. It’s where fans can try the Smokestack Nachos or Sackville Hot Chicken drumsticks, which Wishon said is a fun item her team’s added to the menu.

“It’s fun just to be able to offer something different,” Wishon said. “The goal is to always add to the entertainment on game day and we want to do that for young fans, fans that are avoiding alcohol and gluten-free items.”

Sustainability at Arrowhead

The Chiefs are also borrowing a concept from the Kansas City Current and CPKC Stadium that will launch during the first regular season home game Sunday, Sept. 14.

The team is partnering with Bold Reuse, a women-owned circular logistics company, to eliminate single-use beverage cups inside the stadium by offering reusable cups, becoming the first NFL team to do so. Bold Reuse has worked with the Current offering the same product and has saved over 167,450 single-use cups from going into landfills since CPKC Stadium opened in 2024.

Bethany Szczepanski with Bold Reuse said that the biggest thing people are used to at stadiums is throwing away disposable cups, even if they’re reusable. She said the impact will be felt immediately, as more than 42,000 reusable cups will be provided and used at every home game and event.

She said the cups will be collected after every use, sanitized and returned for the next event. The loop aims to cut down on waste at the stadium.

“We were just doing the math, and we have the potential to save over 400,000 cups in one season, and that equates to almost a million gallons of water saved,” Szczepanski said. “That’s the amount of water it takes to process and make new cups compared to just washing them.”
