Ravens fans were holding their breath Wednesday when Lamar Jackson left practice early.

The reasoning was unclear, though The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec noted the quarterback was knocked down making a throw and seen talking to Scott Elliott, Baltimore’s strength and conditioning coach.

Jackson stayed in for a few plays afterward, but looked to be flexing his wrist and appeared to be in discomfort.

But the injury is a non-issue.

A Ravens spokesperson said that Jackson’s foot was stepped on and he’s expected to be fine.

Jackson has yet to appear in a Ravens preseason game and won’t play in their finale against the Washington Commanders this weekend. It’s a practice that’s not new to Baltimore. Coach John Harbaugh wants to try to reduce an injury risk before the regular season begins.
