Milwaukee Bucks: 6x All-Star and Dunking Great Predicts Giannis Antetokounmpo to Win MVP…

Luka Doncic’s name is making a loud noise in the MVP conversation for the next season because of his body transformation this summer., Others are picking Nikola Jokic to win his fourth one. A six-time All-Star is taking a different route and instead choosing Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo to win it.

The Greek Freak hasn’t won an MVP since 2020. He already has two. He has been a consistent candidate for the award since then. He was among the Top 3 finalist last season.

Blake Griffin believes Antetokounmpo has a real shot to win his third MVP based on the way the Eastern Conference is looking right now and the Bucks roster’s strength.

“Me and Candace had the discussion, and I said, ‘You know what? I’m gonna go Giannis (as the) MVP.’ I think his team can still be top four in the East, and I also think without sort of the help that he’s had around him, he’s going to be playing close to 40 minutes a night,” Griffin said in the The ‘Post Moves’ show.

“I think he’s going to maybe accept that challenge and average 30 and 49, whatever ungodly numbers he puts up.”

Griffin used to be a post-season match up for Giannis, having met twice in the Eastern Conference when the former Los Angeles Clippers star was still part of the Detroit Pistons in 2019 and then the Brooklyn Nets in 2021.

Milwaukee Bucks aren’t contenders according to Griffin

The Bucks have been counted out by many predictions and betting odds and Griffin feels that way, too.

Although he has a favorable remark towards Giannis, he does not think the Bucks have enough to come out of the Eastern Conference.

“I think Denver got better this summer,” Griffin said when asked who will meet in the NBA finals.

“Denver took Oklahoma City to seven games. I think Denver gets to the Finals in the West. And I mean, I think it’s New York or Cleveland in the East. I’ll take New York. Maybe they learn from some mistakes, they make a few tweaks.”

The Bucks don’t have a second All-Star right now, the first time since 2019. They waived Damian Lillard but are hopeful of the youth that big man Myles Turner will bring them.
