All the latest injury news surrounding Arsenal and Leeds United as they prepare to face off in the Premier League.

Arsenal are back in action on Saturday when they face newly promoted Leeds United in their first home game of the season. The Gunners defeated Manchester United in their opener, but they were left with many things to work on after a less than ideal performance despite the victory at Old Trafford.

Leeds won their opener, too, narrowly defeating Everton, and they will head to the Emirates Stadium with some wind in their sails, still carrying the good feeling from their promotion. As both teams prepare for Saturday’s Premier League clash, we have rounded up all the early injury news.

Sebastiaan Bornauw - Fit

Bornauw was a doubt for the season-opener and made it to the bench, but he didn’t play at all. He should be fit and ready to be in serious contention this weekend.

Jayden Bogle - Doubt

Bogle was a doubt for the Everton game before eventually missing out. Farke said before the game: “It will be a late decision on Jayden. He was outstanding last season for us and pre-season as well, but he’s been out for two and a half weeks with his injury. He was part integrated into team training for the first time on Wednesday. This afternoon he will join us in team training, first time for the full session. It depends how his body reacts. Thank God we have four more sessions and then we will see. If he comes though these four sessions he’s a topic for the squad. For how many minutes we’ll see. His overall fitness is on a top level because he played so many games, had a good pre-season, not ideal, been out for two and a half weeks but still a good chance for Monday.” Bogle should be back in contention here, but he will remain a doubt until confirmed otherwise.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin - Doubt

New Leeds signing Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been building up his fitness and could be in contention. Farke said after the Everton game: “His last few seasons were a bit interrupted by injury but he still managed to play 26 games last season. A chance for him to revive his career and reach former heights when he was outstanding at Premier League level. The key for him is not to be over-motivated. We will build his fitness step by step so he can find confidence in his body and rhythm. If we do so, he has shown what he can do. He can be outstanding for us.”

Gabriel Jesus - Out

Christian Norgaard - Doubt

Norgaard missed the Man Utd game but could be available here. Arteta said after the United win: “He had a little issue [that] the medical staff will address. He wasn’t able to play today.”
