One of Chelsea’s biggest rivals are enduring a nightmare transfer window, and now it has been revealed that one of the players they would like to sign is set on a move to Stamford Bridge.
Spurs had looked as if they were going to get a deal done to sign Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace, however that transfer has now been hijacked by Arsenal.
Last time he was seen in action, Eze had a controversial goal disallowed at Stamford Bridge, however now he is set to link up with the likes of Noni Madueke at the Emirates.
This has sent Spurs back to the drawing board when it comes to bringing in another attacking option, something Chelsea are still very keen to do this summer.

Tottenham target Xavi Simons but he only wants move to Chelsea
One player who fits the mold of what Thomas Frank’s side are looking for is Xavi Simons. He still looks likely to leave RB Leipzig this summer despite continuing to feature for them.
Fabrizio Romano has stated that he is one of the names on Spurs’ list as a potential target, however he is completely focused on a move to Chelsea in this transfer window.
He said: “A player they would love to have, and they made some contact a few days ago, was Xavi Simons. But Simons has his heart set on a move to Chelsea Football Club.
“Now for Tottenham, it’s not going to be easy after the Eze story. Morgan Rogers very difficult, Simons wants to go to Chelsea, Tyler Dibling already in negotiations with Everton.”

Chelsea’s stance on signing Simons
Chelsea have been long-term admirers of Simons, and their interest has seen themselves and RB Leipzig locked in talks over him this summer.
However, the deal is being stopped from progressing at this stage due to Chelsea’s need to sell players first, and that still needing some work.
The likes of Christopher Nkunku are being strongly linked with a move away from the club, with Leipzig mentioned as a possible landing spot for the Frenchman.
Bayern Munich are also interested in Nkunku, however have been told that they will need to make it a permanent offer due to their reluctance to loan him out this summer.
