Liverpool could have “blown everyone out of the water” after a club record has been smashed at Anfield.
The Reds recorded a bumper financial year in 2024-25 following their Premier League title success under Arne Slot, with records likely to be broken at Anfield.
Liverpool posted a record-breaking revenue in 2023-24 after their turnover improved from £594milliion in 2022-23 to £614million, while their commercial revenue increased from £272million to £308million.
That figure is only likely to increase this season as Liverpool could land a £100million payout from their new sponsorship deal with Adidas, having switched shirt suppliers to the German manufacturer from Nike.
Liverpool and Manchester United both landed a £123million payout – the highest total in the Premier League – following their shirt and merchandise sales in 2023-24.

The Reds claimed the home kit outstripped sales of last year’s launch by more than 700 per cent, with orders from 150 countries to date.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson said: “If they really have done eight times the sales from the first week of just the home kit, this is transformational because you would think that they would be seeing similar uplifts from the away kit as well.
“And on top of that, Adidas have produced a whole range of training and retro stuff as well. If that’s true, and they really have done eight times the revenue from just a home kit, then we are in store for Liverpool to become the biggest sellers of kit by a mile.
“I mean, they already are one of the biggest, so they’re already top three. If they’ve eight times it, they’ve blown everyone out the water.
“Now, I would have to say that, therefore, somebody selling eight times last year’s kit does not sound plausible to me, even allowing for all of the justifications that they might suggest such as a new design, a new manufacturer.
“I mean, we’re talking about one home kit. We’re not talking about all of the kits put together. We’re talking about just the home kit, according to the press release.
“I’m sorry, those numbers do not make sense. Frankly, a good performance would be an uplift of 10-20 per cent on top, not 700 per cent, so I don’t know what’s happened.
“I don’t know whether it’s a typo, or whether they’re spinning in a certain way or there was no stock available last year, so when people came in they couldn’t buy it because it wasn’t available to buy, so therefore of course this year they’ve sold a lot more.
“But absent of that kind of thing, they haven’t done eight times the sales on a like for like.
“That just is not plausible.”
