Coventry City have made an offer to sign Fulham starlet Martial Godo which the Premier League side is currently considering, according to Sky Sports’ Rob Dorsett.
Coventry City are preparing for another Championship play-off push in 2025/26, eager to go one better after narrowly missing out last season. Under Frank Lampard, the Sky Blues climbed the table to finish 5th, showcasing real progress.
Their journey ended in heartbreak with a dramatic play-off defeat to Sunderland, but optimism is high that this could finally be the year promotion is secured. At the CBS Arena, transfer activity remains a priority, with new signings seen as crucial to strengthening Lampard’s squad for the challenges ahead.

So far, only three players have arrived this summer, with Kaine Kesler-Hayden the sole addition commanding a transfer fee. Still, Coventry City have funds available and the intent to spend them.
One man on the radar of CCFC looks to be Fulham’s Martial Godo. According to Sky Sports’ Rob Dorsett, via X, Coventry City have made an offer for Godo.

Fulham have not made a decision over the offer as of yet. Lampard is a massive fan of Godo and rates him very highly.
Godo was heavily linked with Blackburn Rovers last summer, but a move did not materialise. He could now be getting his chance in the Championship.

Godo has all the attributes to be a success at Coventry City, and he also has plenty to prove. He featured in non-league football with Dartford and Margate before earning a move to Fulham in 2022, impressing during a trial spell.

At the time, the Cottagers were in the Championship, but he did not feature for the first team. Former Hull City and Watford manager Marco Silva led Fulham to the Premier League, and they have not dropped back down since.
Godo has had one loan spell in the EFL, impressing in League One with Wigan Athletic two seasons ago. However, this would be his first year in the Championship, and after some cameos in the Premier League, it could be his time to shine.

Coventry City are in desperate need of transfers
Frank Lampard has acknowledged he remains keen to strengthen his squad, with the club aiming to build on an already impressive group this season. His priority is reinforcing the defence while also adding players he can nurture and develop under his guidance.
If talks fail to progress, Lampard could be left frustrated by the lack of transfer movement, especially given the current talk around Bobby Thomas. There is potential for him to build something special at Coventry City, but he must be backed.
A move for Godo would go some way to doing that. He could be a player Lampard could take under his wing and become a top talent.
