Henderson reflected on his own personal journey at Crystal Palace, having signed from Manchester United in August 2023 – and targeted taking the club to a higher level.
“To reach this level you've got to be confident in your own ability, and you've got to be mentally really strong,” Henderson explained.
“That was something that I spoke to [Chairman] Steve [Parish] about when I first met him, and I believed it, and thankfully it's happened. It's phenomenal, looking back at that conversation 18 months ago, that it's actually become reality.
“The culture and the togetherness here are phenomenal and I speak for everyone when I say this. We are so together as a group, and you can see that with what we have achieved over the last 12 to 18 months.
“That will continue and hopefully we can take it into this season, because it’s stronger than anything else, really.”
