Another busy season is in store for Liverpool as they seek to challenge for silverware across multiple competitions, and they will have to be without Mo Salah for part of it.
Arne Slot‘s side will be out to retain their Premier League crown in 2025/26 and challenge in the Champions League, League Cup and FA Cup, making for another relentless season.
There is also the consideration of another mid-season Africa Cup of Nations, which will see Salah miss games over the festive period while he competes for Egypt.
“We did think about the fact that we’re going to miss Mo, I think as a maximum for six games – but that’s quite a lot in the Premier League, especially if you see how well he did last season,” Slot said.
This year’s AFCON, held in Morocco, will get underway on December 21 and conclude on January 18.
