Everton are heading into the final week of the summer transfer window with a number of areas they need to improve.
David Moyes has been publicly insisting the club’s work in the window is not complete for weeks now.
For as good as the signings of Jack Grealish and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall were, Everton simply need to bring in more quality and depth.
Monday evening’s defeat against Leeds United proved that, with the Toffees showing a real lack of attacking threat.
Everton are keen to sign Tyler Dibling, and it has now been claimed that they are leading the race for the 19-year-old.
However, there are other areas, as Everton have lost out on Douglas Luiz to Nottingham Forest in recent days.
With a midfielder on the radar, Alan Myers has shared what he’s heard about a potential move for Hayden Hackney.

Everton not in the race to sign Middlesbrough’s Hayden Hackney
It had been suggested earlier in the window that Everton held an interest in Hackney, with his Middlesbrough future up in the air.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
The Toffees have brought in one midfielder in Dewsbury-Hall, but could do with another defensive option.
Taking to social media, Myers has now suggested that player will not be Hackney.
In response to one fan’s question about a potential move for Hackney, Myers simply replied: ‘I’m told nothing happening on that one’.
Everton were keen to add midfielders over the summer window, with a number of positions still needing to be filled in the final days.
An emphasis will likely be placed on adding attacking players on the back of Monday’s dismal display at Elland Road.
But Moyes will continue to insist there is plenty of work for Angus Kinnear to get done before the window shuts in September.
Everton also keen to add to their defence
Already this summer, Everton have been hit by a number of injury issues to their defence.
Jarrad Branthwaite will miss weeks through a hamstring injury, which he picked up in training at Finch Farm.
He is not the only player to have suffered this summer.
Nathan Patterson has just returned to training after suffering from hernia symptoms, and Vitaliy Mykolenko remains out through his own issue.
Everton clearly need to add a versatile defender who could potentially cover a number of positions.
