Manchester United will travel to Craven Cottage to face Fulham in the second Premier League game of the 2025-26 season.

United will look to bounce back from the 1-0 loss to Arsenal at Old Trafford last weekend.

United head coach Ruben Amorim made a few surprise selection calls against the Gunners.

We believe Amorim should make three changes to the XI for their clash with the Cottagers this Sunday.

After starting in every tour game in pre-season, it was a major surprise to see Diallo on the bench for the opening encounter.

Given the pedigree of Arsenal’s attack and the nerves of the first game of the season, one could fathom why Amorim opted for security over attacking flair.

However, the Red Devils need to be more attacking from the start against Fulham.

Diallo looked dangerous alongside Mbeumo, instantly injecting more firepower after his introduction in the second half.

The duo will need more time together to build a lethal partnership on the right flank.

Mount did very well as a false nine to link up play with Matheus Cunha and Mbeumo.

He dropped deep to spray the ball wide for the duo and was a pressing monster up front.

However, United were clearly missing a target man in the box when there was a possibility to cross the ball from wide.

It has been just a week and a half since Sesko completed his transfer to Old Trafford.

Despite not having several training sessions with the team, Sesko must be given an opportunity to lead the line and show why he is rated as one of the best emerging strikers in Europe.

Let him learn on the job.

We do not believe that starting Onana ahead of Bayindir will be a serious upgrade.

However, it is a change which must be made after Bayindir’s error against the Gunners.

Onana is also vulnerable when making high claims, but he must be ready as a senior player in the squad.

The Cameroon international missed the entire pre-season due to a hamstring injury.

He recovered before the Arsenal game and should now be match-fit to reclaim his position between the sticks on Sunday.
