David Ornstein reports Arsenal are closing in on Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace despite Tottenham’s push for his signature.
Arsenal push to seal the deal for Palace star Eze
The North London rivalry has spilled into the transfer market. Arsenal are moving quickly to snatch Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze from under **Tottenham**’s nose.
As per David Ornstein, the Gunners have stepped up their pursuit of the Palace playmaker after losing Kai Havertz to a knee injury. Though Mikel Arteta has already brought in Viktor Gyokeres for a hefty fee. But, the head coach wants extra flair and creativity in midfield. Reports suggest the club is ready to meet Palace’s conditions. Eze himself is keen on a fresh start at the Emirates as well.
Additionally, Fabrizio Romano has added that a £60m offer is already on the table. Arsenal are offering quicker payments and easier add-ons compared to Spurs. That bid could swing the deal in their favour before the transfer window closes on September 1.
Although, Tottenham had agreed terms earlier in the week. But, Gunners’ last-minute charge has changed the picture.
Eberechi Eze to Arsenal Football Club.
– Andrea made the call and Eze ordered his agents to cut all communication with the scum.
– Parish was out today enjoying a casual shopping day. He has been left astounded by how fast Andrea has completed this hijack.

The Eagles prepare for exit
Eze’s exit now looks increasingly likely, especially with Palace resigned to losing one of their most prized assets. The Englishman has been a long-standing target for both Arsenal and Spurs. That is even after his £68m release clause expired.
Palace head coach Oliver Glasner was keen to keep him at least for one more season. Now, they will likely look for other options before making the deal.
The midfielder was signed for just £19.5m from QPR in 2020. His potential switch would deliver Palace a healthy profit. For Arsenal, the move could be game-changing.
Author’s Opinion
Arsenal making this move not only strengthens their squad but also lands a blow on Spurs. If Eze does walk out at the Emirates, it feels like a statement that Arteta’s men mean business this season.
