Arsenal could be without four players vs Leeds United amid Christian Norgaard and Ben White wait

Leeds United return to action this weekend when they travel to Emirates Stadium to take on Arsenal. It will be fascinating to see if the Whites can build on their superb showing against Everton.

Substitute Lukas Nmecha's late penalty ensured United made a winning Premier League return. "It's great for the confidence of what we're doing, great for the whole mood and for the team and the confidence to say it's the right choice not to change what we do, park the bus and put the ball in the stands," said Whites boss Daniel Farke.

"We want the ball, we want to dominate the game like we did in most periods of Monday's game. We played front-foot football.

"Of course there will be moments where you have to dig in and it will be important against Arsenal and Newcastle (Leeds' next two league games). We have to be well structured and a good unit against the ball, very compact in our defending.

"It was good for the confidence in our approach. For that (reason) it was a priceless three points."

Now the big question is can United back the Everton result up this Saturday? The Gunners defeated Manchester United in their league opener. Riccardo Calafiori's close range header earned them maximum points as Mikel Arteta’s side underlined their title credentials with a professional, workmanlike performance on the road.

However, Arteta could be without a number of first team players for their first home match of the season. German international Kai Havertz is expected to miss out due to a knee injury. He was a second half substitute in the win at Old Trafford.

It remains unclear whether midfielder Christian Norgaard will be available for selection. The summer signing sat-out the Manchester United clash.

“He had a little issue [that] the medical staff will address," said Arteta. "He wasn’t able to play today.”

Former United loan star Ben White was a notable absentee from Wednesday's open training session at The Emirates. White was withdrawn in the 71st minute of the Manchester United match and left the pitch alongside club physio Simon Murphy.

Forward Gabriel Jesus (ACL) is a long-term absentee.
