Tatum recently gave an update on his recovery, saying it’s starting to improve a little, but that this period has been one of the hardest of his life.
“Rehab is tedious… It’s starting to get a little better, I’m out of the boot now. Better days ahead,” Tatum said.
“Just trying to take one day at a time. You’ve got to be resilient. That first six weeks of this were probably the toughest six weeks of my life,” he stated.
“Just had to accept it, realize it happened, and now I’ve got to do everything in my power to get back to who I was and get back to playing.”
Tatum had another strong campaign in 2024–25, averaging 26.8 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game while shooting 45.2% from the field and 34.3% from three.
