The attacking midfielder has joined National League outfit FC Halifax Town, having spent four-and-a-half years with United after joining from Sunderland in January 2021.
The 21-year-old didn't make a competitive first team appearance for the Magpies, but played under Eddie Howe in a handful of friendlies, making his senior debut in Newcastle's Diriyah Season Cup win against Al Hilal in December 2022.
Turner-Cooke made his professional bow whilst on loan at League Two Tranmere Rovers in February 2023 and also spent the first half of the 2023/24 campaign on loan at Scottish Premiership side St Johnstone.
The South Shields-born youngster was handed his debut for the Shaymen as a second-half substitute in Tuesday's 1-0 away win against Boston United and will be aiming to make his first start for his new club when welcoming Forest Green Rovers to The Shay on Saturday, 23rd August.
