As their wide receiver room continues to get damaged by injuries, the San Francisco 49ers have acquired WR Skyy Moore in a deal with the Chiefs.
Moore didn’t live up to expectations as Kansas City’s second-round pick (54th) overall in the 2022 NFL Draft.
In his rookie season, the 5’10 wide receiver had 250 yards on 22 receptions. Tallying 21 receptions the following season seems encouraging; it came on 38 targets. Drops have been a point of concern for Moore, taking him out of the Chiefs’ regular Sunday players.
Trade: Chiefs are sending WR Skyy Moore to the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers have been decimated with injuries at WR. But, with injuries to Brandon Aiyuk, Jauan Jennings, and Jordan Watkins — along with DeMar Robinson’s suspension — it’s a cheap potential depth piece. San Francisco also acquired a 7th rounder with Moore, while parting with a 6th round pick.
One preseason game remains for the 49ers, which may be one of the limited chances Skyy Moore could get some action.
